  • Ocior Energy signed MoU with the Government of Odisha  01st December 2022 for construction of green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in the state. Project has received High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) approval on 19th January 2023

  • Ocior Energy has signed a green ammonia purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) – a Government of India undertaking, for supplying of 85,000 TPA green ammonia from phase-1 of the project. The balance quantity is targeted for exports.

  • Focus on port-led industrial development is part of the Odisha state plans which makes this Project ideal for catering green energy demand of the East Asian, South East Asian and European markets

‘Odisha, formerly Orissa the official name until 2011, is an Indian state located in Eastern India. It neighbours the states of Jharkhand and West Bengal to the north, Chhattisgarh to the west, and Andhra Pradesh to the south. Odisha has an area of 1,55,707 sq. Km. Odisha has a coastline of 480 kilometres along the Bay of Bengal in Indian Ocean. Currently, the state has 3 operational large ports at Paradip, Dhamra and Gopalpur.

Odisha ranks 9th in terms of area and 11th in terms of population in the country. It’s nominal GDP is approximately USD 85.7 billion in 2021-22. Odisha stands as the largest steel and stainless-steel producer in the country.’
