  • In December 2022, Ocior Energy has signed MoU with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy- Egypt, represented by the New and Renewable Energy Development, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), for development of for development of 1 Million TPY of Green Ammonia project in Suez Canal Economic Zone.

  • In July 2024, following completion of the feasibility study, the allocation of good resource solar and wind sites for the RE projects, and the allocation of land for the Ammonia facility in SCZone, Ocior has signed Framework Agreement with Egyptian Authorities. 

  • The Project is located in Suez Canal Zone an ideal location for production of competitive green ammonia. This is due to the presence of abundant resources, its proximity to a major global shipping port, and its close proximity to European demand markets.
